Martinair and Tampa Cargo are pleased to announce the appointed of Robert Rozek, as their new Global Director of Perishables. The Global Director of Perishables will focus on developing Martinair and Tampa Cargo’s corporate strategy and market position, enhance the carrier’s existing product line and generate new perishables products and services.
Mr. Rozek has extensive expertise in the area of perishable logistics, which encompasses handling, transportation and market development and is responsible for much of Martinair’s growth in the flower transportation industry in the Americas. “Through the combination of each of the carrier’s services, facilities, and experience in the transportation of perishable products, Martinair and Tampa Cargo present an unbeatable choice to our customers,” said Peter Scholten, Vice President and General Manager the Americas.
Martinair and Tampa Cargo specialize in the transport of fresh cut flowers by providing state of the art cool-chain logistics, vacuum cooling, refrigerated trucks and warehouse coolers.
Mr. Rozek is a 19 years veteran of Martinair, and until recently was leading the Latin American region as its sales Director. Prior to joining Martinair, Mr. Rozek was employed by South African Airway in New York where he held cargo positions in operations and sales. In his new position Mr. Rozek will have a Perishable Logistics Representative in Amsterdam and Perishable Sales Manager based in Miami, reporting to him.
